About the grant

Funding for Texas elementary music classrooms

The TMEA Elementary Music Grant supports eligible elementary music programs in Texas. Teachers can request funding for classroom materials, equipment, instruments, instructional software, and other resources that support student learning.

Before applying, check the current TMEA guidelines, confirm your membership status, and make sure your request follows your school or district purchasing process.

How to apply

Three steps to prepare your TMEA grant application

  1. Step 1

    Gather your application details

    Have your TMEA membership information, campus details, grade levels, student count, current music budget, and funding sources ready before you start.

  2. Step 2

    Prepare your need and impact statements

    Write a short explanation of what your classroom needs, how the materials will be used, and how many students the grant would support.

  3. Step 3

    Request and attach your quote

    If you plan to include Flat for Education, send us your student count and we’ll prepare a written quote you can attach to your TMEA application before October 30th, 2026.

Note: grant purchases are made through a TMEA-approved vendor. Always follow the official TMEA instructions for your application.
